WiFi is only as good as the backhaul. We run Cat6 to the rooms that earn it in Cotswold cottages and Gloucestershire home offices — study, lounge TV, access-point sockets — terminate on a small patch panel, and label everything. Telephone extensions and master-socket faults are the same visit. Cat6a is available if you want 10-gigabit ready.

Questions
Usually. Lofts, cupboards and existing trunking cover most Cotswold and Gloucestershire houses. We'll say if a floor needs to come up before we start.
Cat6 does 1 gigabit to 100 m and 10 gigabit on short runs — that's enough for almost every Cotswold and Gloucestershire house: WiFi sockets, TVs, desks and cameras. Cat6a is thicker and stiffer, and holds 10 gigabit to the full 100 m. We recommend it for a study, a server, or if you want the house ready for multi-gig broadband. In tight Cotswold voids Cat6 is often the cleaner pull; we'll say which is right on the survey.
